A typical application for PiAutoSim™ is simulation of a powertrain environment, such as an engine, gearbox or even a complete vehicle.
A model defines the characteristics of the simulated component and is executed in real-time, taking input from and providing output to the ECU under test.
An important feature of the simulator is that test scripts can be created, allowing complex test patterns to be produced and replayed as many times as required, with no user intervention. Using these features, ECUs can be exercised in an extremely realistic simulation of the target system.
