Pi Shurlok has a proven track record of developing real time embedded software covering almost all functional aspects found in today’s automotive electronic control units. We also develop windows based applications for many of the associated off-board tools.

Software at Pi Shurlok is engineered through the application of a systematic and disciplined approach. Whether the software is for a high integrity, safety related system or to support a feasibility study into a particular technology, we make full use of our expertise and knowledge of the available techniques, tools and methods to determine how to best deliver fit-for-purpose software.

At Pi Shurlok, we believe strongly that "just writing code" does not make one a software engineer. The automotive industry is regulated by software development processes for the purpose of improving the reliability and maintainability of software systems. When undertaking specific tasks such as requirements, design, software construction, testing, release and maintenance, our software engineers regularly work to international, industry specific and customer bespoke best practices.

The broad nature of our work in terms of customers, applications and complexity means that the engineering has to be flexible. We generally tailor the approach to developing software from one project to another and, as is often the case if the nature of a project changes, we adapt and evolve as needed.

Pi Shurlok is Automotive SPICE Organisation Process Capability Level 3 - ISO/IEC 15504, Pathfinder™ qualified.
